Search Queries
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. California Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s rules and privacy practices apply to its processing.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, we keep the information needed to respond. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Like most websites, the site may receive routine technical information when a page loads.

Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites or tailor ads. California Released Inmates does not control those outside systems.

We do not sell personal information. Data may be handled by limited service categories needed to run the site.

People Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Your Data Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify a request, a user may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, request correction, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. These choices apply to data controlled by this site. Requests about an official California record or a partner search must go to that separate custodian.

This Privacy Notice may be revised as services or practices change. A new version takes effect when posted here with its updated effective date.
