Legal Disclaimer

California Released Inmates provides general reference information and routes to California release records, custody locators, and offender-search resources. It is privately operated and is not affiliated with CDCR, BPH, DAPO, a sheriff, jail, court, BOP, ICE, or any other government office.

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA, and its information or linked results cannot be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

Information Accuracy

Government sources can change without notice, and custody systems update at different times. California Released Inmates does not guarantee that a name, status, address, phone number, schedule, fee, or other detail is complete or current. A person missing from CIRIS, a county roster, VINE, BOP, or ICE is not proven released. Verify information with the office that created the record before relying on it, visiting a facility, or sending funds.

No Legal Advice

Nothing on the site is legal advice, an interpretation of a particular case, or a substitute for counsel from a licensed attorney. Court orders, release calculations, parole decisions, and public-record exemptions can depend on facts not shown online.

Third-Party Search Tools

Some pages contain search boxes supplied by outside providers. California Released Inmates does not control a provider’s results, prices, signup terms, or treatment of submitted data. Use of an outside tool is governed by that provider’s own policies.

Outbound Resources

Links may point to county jail rosters, sheriff and corrections pages, California courts, federal locators, county subdomain sites, and other resources. A link does not transfer control of the destination to this site. We are not responsible for an outside page’s content, accuracy, availability, security, or later changes.

No Hosted Records

California Released Inmates does not host jail rosters, inmate files, booking photographs, warrant records, court files, or official release and discharge records. It points toward the agencies and locators that maintain them. Contact the relevant sheriff, CDCR, superior court, BOP, ICE, probation department, or other issuing office to confirm custody or obtain a certified or official record.
